Half of Romanians find it harder to balance job and private life

10 March 2016

Over half of Romanians (51%) consider that it’s more difficult now than three years ago to keep the balance between the personal and professional life, according to an EY Romania study.

Only about 26% believe that it’s currently easier to maintain the balance.

Half of the respondents say that the number of work hours has increased in the last three years. Only 14% have seen the number of work hours dropping in this period.

About 86% of the Romanian managers are working overtime. The ratio is double compared to Germany or England, according to the EY Romania study.

The survey is based on some 2,500 answers to an online questionnaire, with respondents from urban areas aged 18-55+.
