Hamilton Central Europe produces new headspace syringe in Romania
Hamilton Central Europe, a member of Hamilton Company, has presented a new headspace syringe last week, which will be produced at its plant in Timis county, western Romania.
The new syringe, which is used in the food, environmental, and pharmaceutical research industries, has been developed entirely in Romania, the company announced.
The new headspace syringe was presented during a conference organized at the Hamilton Central Europe headquarters in Giarmata, Timis county.
Hamilton Company started its activity in Romania in 2013, when it began producing components for microliter syringes in Timisoara. With the opening of the facility in Timis county, Romania became the second country in Europe after Switzerland where Hamilton Company carries out production activities.
Nowadays, some 130 people work at the Hamilton Central Europe plant in western Romania, producing high precision instruments used in research laboratories, and accessories for medical devices. The products manufactured in the Romanian plant are used in markets in Europe, Asia, and South Africa, in scientific research laboratories, analytical applications laboratories, and intensive care units.
The company had a turnover of over EUR 16 million and a net profit of EUR 4.9 million in 2015, according to data from the Finance Ministry.
