HappyDental plans to expand from Romania to UK and grow clients three-fold

11 August 2011

HappyDental, a dental clinic with two units in Romania, owned by Luana O'Connor, plans to open a unit in UK in 2012, O'Connor told Romania-Insider.com. HappyDent, with two units located in Ploiesti and Gornesti and a yearly turnover of EUR 200,000, hopes it would triple the number of patient revenues from the recent introduction of the 1 Hour Lumineers by Cerinate in Romania, according to O'Connor.

“We expect to see a 225 percent growth in patient revenues from the introduction of this new technology”, she told Romania-Insider.com. The company’s investment in the new technology launched in Romania amounts to EUR 30,000.

HappyDental saw the number of patients growing by 60 percent this year in its two units in Romania and plans to double the number of patients until the end of this year compared with 2010, mostly due to the introduction of new technologies.

The company posted a turnover of EUR 200,000 in 2010 and plans an increase of at least 40 percent for 2011. “All profits are re-invested in the business and there are no outside investors or loans on the business. HappyDental is actively looking for a UK based location for our planned expansion in 2012 which will be self funded”, said Dr. Luana O’Connor.

HappyDental is an Anglo-Romanian venture, founded by Luana O’Connor in 2001.
