Automotive Trading Services, the Harley-Davidson motorcycles importer in Romania expects to sell 55-60 bikes this year, with 10-15 units more than in 2010, said Marcel Chiva, sales director for Harley-Davidson Romania.  Chiva estimates a 10 percent growth in motorcycles sales for this year, as banks have started to lend money for the purchase of motorcycles.
Since the beginning of 2011, Harley-Davidson Romania sold 12 units. Last year the company shipped 45 bikes to Romania, 20 percent more than in 2009.
The prices of most sold models vary this year from EUR 13,000 to EUR 15,000, and last year stood at an average of EUR 9,200. The most expensive model in the Harley-Davidson showroom costs EUR 32,000, and the least expensive is EUR 7,400.

Harley-Davidson is an American motorcycle manufacturer, founded in 1903, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Harley-Davidson products are sold in Romania by Automotive Trading Services, which is 85 percent owned by former prime minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu.
