Head of Constanta County Council held for office abuse
National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) prosecutors yesterday held Nicusor Constantinescu, president of the Constanta County Council.
They indicted Constantinescu for abuse of office, for having signed illegal contracts with the company Soti Cable Neptun.
They decided to hold Constantinescu for 24 hours, reports local Mediafax.
The DNA prosecutors carried out searches at the Constanta County Council and at local companies’ offices, among which the theme park Aqualand and Cupidon Hotel. Constantinescu is a suspect in several acts of abuse of office.
