Head of EADS Louis Gallois to inaugurate production facility in Romania in July
Louis Gallois (in picture), the Chief Executive Officer of European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) will come to Romania for the official inauguration of the company's Premium Aerotec factory in Ghimbav, Brasov, on July 12. The company has sent a media invitation for the event, where Government officials from Romania and Germany will also be present.
The factory in Romania has already started to produce Airbus components in a first phase of the project, with plans to extend the new production facility with a second construction phase this year and plans to employ a workforce of up to 500.
The plant manager in Romania is Jochen von Wurmb, while Dieter Meiners is the chief operating officer of Premium Aerotec and CEO of the local subsidiary Premium Aerotec S.R.L.
Louis Gallois has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EADS since August 2007, after having been co-CEO of EADS, and President and CEO of Airbus since 2006. Earlier in his career, he held positions in the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Research and Industry, and the Ministry of Defence. Gallois graduated from the École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in economic sciences and is an alumnus of the École Nationale d’Administration.
