Heat cost allocators save Bucharest residents millions of euros in winter
Bucharest residents with heat cost allocators installed in their apartments saved a total of EUR 14 million last winter, according to the ista Romania analysis made based on the data from Radet Bucharest for the 2013-2014 heating season.
The figure represented a 31.2% reduction in heating costs in apartment buildings with individual metering systems, compared to those without such a system.
Meanwhile, Bucharest residents without heat cost allocators for individual metering spent with over EUR 16 million more.
According to the analysis of all apartments in Bucharest connected to the centralized heating system, only 47% have heat cost allocators, a lower figure than in other European capitals.
