Herd of bison caught on camera in Romania nature park
A herd of bison was filmed in Romania’s Vanatori Neamt Nature Park last week.
In the video, the animals can be seen walking through the snow. There are only two bison at first, but then the number grows to 13 bison of different ages.
The video was shared on the nature park’s Facebook page.
The Vanatori Neamt Nature Park is located in the north part of Neamt County, on the border with Suceava. In early-March 2017, Romanian state–owned forestry company Romsilva announced that four bison were released in the Vanatori Neamt Nature Park. This action brought the total number of bison in the park to 29.
The bison disappeared from the Romanian fauna three centuries ago, being reintroduced in 1958 when a pair of bison was brought from Poland to Hateg Forest Park.
