High-altitude dining: Tourists can have dinner inside gondola lifts in Romanian mountain resort
Tourists visiting Romania’s Sinaia mountain resort can enjoy a nice, special dinner while admiring the mountain scenery. Sinaia Skyline, a new service launched by Sinaia Urban Transport company, organizes dinners inside the city's gondola lifts.
The packages are made for two people and include welcome surprises, snacks, wines that complement the food selections, and parting gifts.
Those who would like to try such a dinner can choose from three packages – Charter, Business Class, and Private Jet, each having a different menu. The Charter Package includes a 45-minute trip, the Business Class Package offers a trip of one hour and 15 minutes, and the Private Jet Package features a two-hour trip. As the trips get longer the menus also get more complex.
This year, the Sinaia Skyline service is available until the end of October. Gondola Sinaia will resume the service in spring 2016. In the next period, the prices have a 20% discount.
Reservations have to be made 48 hours before serving dinner, but in exceptional cases the service can be offered within 24 hours. Sinaia Skyline is specifically designed for two people, but it can be customized on request so that it can include two adults and a child, or three adults. The guests can also require an additional service for special occasions, which implies filming the trip in HD and making a video.
