Only 39.5% of the 12th grade students and 33.7% of the 11th grade students who participated in the Baccalaureate exam simulation at the end of March managed to get passing scores, according to data from the Education Ministry.

The percentages are slightly better than last year but still very low, with a cumulated promotion rate of 36.5%.

Over 230,000 students participated in the Baccalaureate simulation, 84,000 of whom got scores over 6, which is the minimum required to pass the exam. Only 7,500 students, namely 3.2% of the total, got scores over 9.

The official Baccalaureate exam takes place at the end of June.
