Swedish clothing retailer H&M will open new online markets during 2015, and Romania is included in the retailer’s plans. The company plans to launch online stores in Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Slovakia, according to an H&M statement.

H&M Romania registered sales of some EUR 94 million in the first night months of this fiscal year (December 1, 2013 – August 31), up 39% year-on-year. The retailer had 35 stores in Romania at the end of August, 7 of them being new stores opened in the first nine months.

In the third quarter (June 1 – August 31), H&M had sales of EUR 34 million on the local market, up 50% year-on-year.

In 2013 fiscal year, ended in November, the retailer’s sales in Romania went up 41% to some EUR 101 million.
