German company Miele recorded a 82% increase in its sales in Romania in the first quarter of 2015, compared to the same period last year. It is the biggest quarterly growth Miele ever posted in Romania.

The German-based manufacturer of high-end domestic appliances last year had a turnover of EUR 2.2 million in Romania.

Romania’s premium home appliances market is growing, said Loredana Butnaru, sales director for Miele Romania.

At the beginning of the year, Miele launched in Romania its online showroom on the eMAG Marketplace platform. It expects that this partnership will generate up to 5% of its total sales.
