Employees in Romania spend, on average, RON 167 (some EUR 38) a week on lunch at work, while 30% of employees bring their lunch from home at least 3 times a week, according to a study from Edenred, a company that issues meal tickets, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Romanians believe they have to spend, on average, RON 13 (or EUR 2.9) for lunch in a fast-food restaurant (the equivalent of 1.4 meal tickets), RON 17 (EUR 3.8) for delivered food (1.8 meal vouchers) and RON 27 (some EUR 6.1 or 2.7 vouchers) for lunch at a restaurant. The daily value of a meal voucher is RON 9.35 (some EUR 2.1).

Over 60% of the Romanian employees allocate less than 30 minutes for lunch, and eat in a hurry.
