HR services firm Lugera sees turnover up by a third in Romania
Lugera, one of the biggest HR recruiting companies in Romania, reached a turnover of EUR 69 million in 2016, up by a third compared to the 2015 level of EUR 52 million, as its activity grew.
However, the gross profit remained close to EUR 1 billion, the same as in the previous year, as the company made bigger efforts to find candidates, according to Cristina Savuica, the general manager of Lugera, reports local Wall-street.ro. The company had some 8,000 people hired on temporary work contracts.
“We grew more than we had expected as we went into auctions and we kept winning them. However, we haven’t increased out profit, which shows the higher recruiting efforts,” Savuica said. She explained that the workforce deficit has increased in the past year and the trend will continue this year.
There are a lot of jobs available in industrial production, such as automotive, and in call centers and shared centers, but fewer candidates, which makes the recruiting process very difficult, according to Savuica. She estimates that the company’s turnover will only increase by about 10% this year.
Lugera The People Republic is one of the top players on the HR services market in Romania. Its biggest competitors are Adecco, ManpowerGroup, GIGroup, and APT Romania.
