Huawei to double revenues on consumer segment in Romania
Chinese group Huawei will double its business-to-consumer sales in Romania this year, as the company became the second most important player on the local smartphone market, with deliveries of about 400,000 units in the first nine months of the year.
The B2C business will reach over USD 90 million, according to the company’s estimates, reports local Ziarul Financiar.
Last year, the consumer division of Huawei recorded revenues of USD 46 million in Romania.
The Chinese company sells smartphones, tablets, modems for mobile internet, and routers on the local market. The largest part of its revenues - 80%- are generated by the sales of smartphones.
South-Korean giant Samsung remains the leader on the local smartphone market based on the number of units delivered. Romanian brand Allview ranked second until the beginning of this year.
