Huawei plans EUR 100 mln investments in Romania, team expansion
Chinese company Huawei plans to make investments of EUR 100 million in the Global Service Center in Bucharest until 2018 and wants to hire 300 more people in Romania by the end of this year, reports local Capital.
The company allotted EUR 6 million for the development of the Global Service Center in Romania’s capital, which provides technical support for customers in Central and Eastern Europe, Nordic countries and those in Western Europe, and plans to increase investments to EUR 100 million until 2018. This amount adds to the EUR 90 million Huawei invested in the Romanian subsidiary between 2007 and 2012.
Huawei currently employs 900 people in Romania, out of which 700 are Romanians, and plans to increase the number to 1,200 by end-2014, Vlad Doicaru, manager Enterprise & Integrated Accounts within Huawei Technologies Romania, told local Capital.
