Huawei Technologies Romania plans to reach a turnover of EUR 130 million this year, slightly up from EUR 127 million registered in 2013, reports local Wall-street.ro. Over half of the turnover should be supported by network equipment sales. In 2013, the company’s business increased by 32% year-on-year.

Vlad Doicaru, manager Enterprise & Integrated Accounts within Huawei Technologies Romania, told local Mediafax that the company's results in the first half show that the objective is "on track".

Huawei Technologies Romania started activity in 2003 and currently employs 900 people, out of which 700 are Romanians. Between 2007 and 2012, the Chinese group invested EUR 90 million in the Romanian subsidiary. Another EUR 6 million are added to this amount, money used for the opening of the fourth Global Service Center of Huawei, which provides technical support for customers in Central and Eastern Europe, Nordic countries and those in Western Europe. The center is located in the Lakeview building in Bucharest.

Huawei plans to further increase the number of employees and to continue investments in Romania.
