Hungarian pharma group ups sales by over 10% in Romania
Hungarian pharma group Gedeon Richter increased its sales in Romania by 10.8% in the first nine months of the year, to over EUR 118 million.
The distribution and retail department, namely Pharmafarm and Gedeon Richter Farmacia, had the largest contribution to this growth. The Pharmafarm distributor and the 108 pharmacies had sales of EUR 107.9 million during this period, up 13.2% year-on-year.
Gedeon Richter also carries out production activities in Romania, through its Gedeon Richter Romania pharma plant, which is located in Targu-Mures.
Last year, the group’s sales amounted to over EUR 107 million.
