Iasi City Hall wants EU funds for projects worth EUR 225 mln

The Iasi City Hall plans to submit projects worth EUR 225 million to get non-reimbursable funds from the EU in the 2014-2020 programming period.

The City Hall wants to invest the biggest amount in refurbishing and setting up buildings for social housing, namely some EUR 30 million, reports Ziaruldeiasi.ro. It also wants to put a large part of the amount in public transport projects. With over EUR 92 million, the City Hall wants to rehabilitate tram lines, acquire and refurbish trams.

The Iasi municipality also plans to set up a park in front of the National Theatre, with almost EUR 10 million, as well as improve several other parks in the city.
