IBM names new Country Leader for Romania

U.S. technology group IBM named Mitka Avramova as the new Country Leader of its Romanian subsidiary.

Avramova was previously Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the IBM operations in Romania. In her new role, she will coordinate the group’s whole activity in the country.

Mitka Avramova has been working for IBM for 14 years, during which she has held various positions in sales and operations across Bulgaria and Eastern Europe. She replaces Ron Keren, who coordinated IBM’s operations in Romania since January 2015.

IBM Romania had a turnover of RON 906 million (EUR 198 million) and a net profit of RON 80 million (EUR 17.5 million) in 2017, according to data from the Finance Ministry. The group has over 3,000 employees locally.
