Largest 3D video mapping event in Romania starts this weekend
iMapp Bucharest, one of the biggest 3D multimedia shows in the world and the largest such event in Romania, will kick off this Friday, September 9.
This year’s edition of iMapp will comprise a series of events that will take place in several locations in Bucharest.
iMapp 2016 will start with a video mapping show created by Motionlab, which will light up the facade of the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism located in 21 Decembrie 1918 Square. The video mapping will be followed by a teasing party at Expirat Club.
One week later, on September 16, the event will continue with another video mapping show, this time created by Les Ateliers Nomad, which will also take place at the Ion Mincu University. Then, a teasing party will be organized at Control Club.
iMapp Bucharest 2016 will end on September 24, with a massive video mapping show that will light up the People’s Palace. Starting 22:30, the finalist teams from Montenegro (Filip Roca), Spain (Romera Diseño e Infografia), Turkey (VOID), Romania (Mindscape Studio), Russia (Illuminarium 3000), and Hungary (Limelight) will transform the Palace’s façade. The creative concept of this edition of the contest is "Dialogues".
Moreover, Romanian band Golan & Orchestra and famous singer Roisin Murphy will perform on the stage to be installed in Constitutiei Square.
The entrance to the event is free.
