IMF: Romanian economy to grow 2.7% in 2015
Romania’s economy will increase this year by 2.7%, according to a report by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) published on Tuesday, April 14. IMF experts have maintained their forecast from the end of their visit in Bucharest in February.
In the previous edition of the World Economic Outlook, the IMF anticipated that the Romanian economy will grow by 2.5% this year.
Private consumption strengthening, due to the increase in the real salary, together with the low oil prices will boost the economy this year, according to the IMF representatives. The institution also estimates that the Romanian economy will go up by 2.9% in 2016.
