Austrian real estate developer Immofinanz has signed new partnerships and extensions of rental contracts for its office buildings in Bucharest totalling over 16,000 square meters over the last five months.

The company has attracted new tenants and extended agreements for 11,500 sqm and extended the existing contracts for another 4,500 sqm, in seven of its class A office projects in Bucharest.

"2016 was a period of consolidation for our operations in Romania, both for the office segment, as well as the retail segment. We’ll continue to invest in our existing properties," said Sorin Visoianu, Country Manager Immofinanz Romania.

The new tenants of Immofinanz include Swiss media group Ringier, which will occupy about 2,500 sqm in Iride Business Park, the production company TV Sinevizyon, which rented over 2,000 sqm in Pipera Warehouse, as well as one of the major players in the automotive market in Romania, which signed an agreement for 1,500 sqm in North Center.

Other new partners of Immofinanz include companies such as Tymbark, ND Medhealth, and Sterling Cruise. Immofinanz owns eight office projects in Bucharest with leasable area of almost 200,000 sqm.
