Infineon Technologies expands its offices in Bucharest
Infineon Technologies Romania, the local subsidiary of the German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, has increased its office space in Bucharest to 7,500 sqm.
The company has also extended its lease contract in the Novo Park office park in Bucharest until 2024. The contract thus reaches a record duration of 19 years, as Infineon has had its offices in Novo Park since entering Romania in 2005.
Local group Genesis Development, which is controlled by Romanian investor Liviu Tudor, owns the office park.
“Infineon Technologies Romania has invested over 100 million euro on the local market, starting with 2005, when the Research and Development Center was established,” said Jihad Haidar, Vice President and Managing Director of Infineon Technologies Romania.
The company now employs more than 300 engineers.
Infineon Romania develops integrated power circuits, and sensors for automotive or industrial applications, as well as security controllers for smart card and other security products.
