Classic and contemporary music mix at upcoming edition of Innersound festival in Bucharest
The fifth edition of the Innersound music festival will take place in Bucharest between August 26 and September 1.
Romanian artists, alongside guests from Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, Iceland, France and Austria, will deliver novel performances meant to bring the audience to the nonconformist world of alternative culture. The event is meant to offer a new perspective on contemporary art music by placing it in relation to visual arts, film and multimedia.
Among this year’s guests are the Arcadia string quartet, Zona Imaginarium, chamber music ensemble SonoMania, conductor Alexandru Mija, violinist Barbara Lüneburg, pianist and composer Daniel Formo, percussionist and performer Vitaly Medvedev alongside performer Stephanie Pan, musicians Zoli Toth and Mitoş Micleuşanu, artist and filmmaker Rowan Tara de Freitas and others.
The festival will also feature a film night, held at the Elvire Popesco cinema, where animations, experimental and contemporary films will be screened.
The program of the event is updated here.
