International Jazz Competition, for the fifth time in Bucharest this May

Bucharest International Jazz Competition will gather bands and emerging artists from all over the world in the Romanian capital city between May 8 and 13 this year. Jam sessions and workshops will be organized between performances. The competition's agenda, locations and ticket prices will be announced on April 15.

The event organizers, JM Events, welcome musicians and bands with up to six musicians, born after 1976. The total value of the prizes for the event is of EUR 7,000, with the grand prix winners receiving EUR 1,200. The winners of the competition will be included in future events organized by JM Events, such as Jeunesses Musicales.

The first edition of the festival, that happened back in 2007, brought together 30 bands from 25 countries. Last year, 15 bands from 21 countries took part in the event. You can read more about the festival here.
