Investment fund GED buys Prestige Tours in Romania

Private equity fund GED has acquired tourism agency Prestige Tours from Romanian businessman Mircea Vladu. The value of the deal was not disclosed. The fund controls another tourism agency in Romania – Happy Tours, as well as tourist services site Paravion.ro, which it bought through Happy Tour.

GED also owns Diamedix, energy producer Total Energy Business, security company Rosegur and retail chain Fonomat. Among the latest acquisitions was printing house Infopress.

GED operates in the south-east of Europe and in the Iberian peninsula on the small buyout and growth capital segments. It currently manages several investment vehicles with funds of around EUR 350 million. GED’s managing director for South – East Europe is Robert Luke, also one of the founders of the company.
