Investor asks Romanian Government to open labor market for Filipinos, Vietnamese
Romanian investor Dragos Anastasiu, the owner of the Eurolines group, has publicly asked tourism minister Mircea Dobre to help hotel and restaurant operators bring Filipino and Vietnamese employees to Romania, reports local Profit.ro.
It currently takes more than a year for Filipinos and Vietnamese workers to get the visas for Romania. This labor force could be used not only in tourism, but in other fields as well.
Anastasiu explained that labor force is needed not only in Bucharest, but also in other large cities such as Cluj-Napoca or Timisoara, and in resorts.
Daniel Mischie, the CEO of the City Grill network, also said that the labor market should be opened for people from the Republic of Moldova, because Romanians who work abroad will not return easily.
Anastastiu also spoke of an attempt to bring back in the country the hundreds of thousands of Romanians who work in restaurants and hotels abroad.
