Irish ambassador to Romania suffers head trauma after a fall
Irish ambassador to Romania Gerard Corr suffered a head injury after he fell and hit the pavement on Monday, March 16.
The accident occurred close to a restaurant in Bucharest, close to the Irish Embassy, where he had lunch, according to sources quoted by Mediafax.
An ambulance took him to the Floreasca Emergency Hospital. The doctors at the emergency room determined that the ambassador suffered a severe head trauma. They decided to run further tests to assess his condition.
Gerard Corr started his mandate as Ireland's ambassador to Romania at the end of 2013.
