Israeli holding invests EUR 20 mln in its operational leasing firm in Romania
New Kopel Group, active in the operational leasing and car rental sectors, controlled by the Israeli holding Shlomo, will invest over EUR 20 million in all its departments in Romania.
It will acquire over 1,500 new vehicles, according to an announcement made by the group yesterday. The group thus wants to increase its operational leasing fleer by 20%. It also plans to raise its car rental activities by up to 15%.
Last year, New Kopel Group invested EUR 13 million in its local operations. Its fleet rose by 25% reaching 3,500 vehicles, which are used both for operational leasing and car rental.
The company also plans to develop its customer portfolio. In 2016, it had over 300 active clients from sectors such as IT&C, FMCG, real estate, pharma, or the financial sector.
New Kopel Group owns in the local market the dealer Opel Union Motors, the rent-a-car firm Sixt Rent a Car, and the operational leasing firm Sixt New Kopel. It also owns the used cars division Sixt New Kopel SH.
Part of the group Shlomo, one of the largest holdings in Israel, the New Kopel company entered Romania more than ten years ago.
