German IT services provider iQuest relocates its Brasov offices to Coresi Business Park

16 February 2016

German IT services and solutions provider iQuest will relocate its local office in Brasov to a new office building within the Coresi Business Park.

iQuest has leased 1,650 sqm of office space in a modern class A office building to be finalized in April 2016. The relocation is scheduled to take place in August, according to an announcement by Coresi Business Park.

“The relocation of our offices to Coresi Business Park ensures the best working conditions for our staff and grants us the flexibility to grow and expand our operation on the same premises, every time it is required by the demand from our key clients. Brasov is an excellent destination for the IT business. We see the industry expanding rapidly and the workforce becoming more and more specialized.” said Cornelius Brody, CEO iQuest.

iQuest has been active in Brasov since 2003. It also has software development centers in Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, and Craiova and currently employs over 700 people in Romania.

Coresi Business Park is one of the most important business centers outside Bucharest, currently counting over 30,000 sqm of class A office space and targeting to reach 100,000 sqm in the following years.

The initial phase of Coresi Business Park consists of approximately 25,000 sqm of unconventional office areas with industrial architectural elements, which is located in restored former industrial buildings on the Tractorul platform. The offices are fully let to international and local companies, such as Raiffeisen Bank, IBM, Fresenius, Freudenberg, CGS, and Waters.

The second development phase includes three modern office buildings with a total leasable area of 21,500 sqm, the first of which is to be delivered in April. Besides iQuest, the building also hosts the offices of Tata Technologies, which has leased 3,300 sqm.

Ascenta Management, the developer of Coresi Business Park, plans to build a total of 10 modern office buildings in this compound, in addition to the converted industrial space.

The Tractorul Brasov platform used to host one of the biggest factories in Romania during the communist regime. The tractor factory was closed in 2007 and its assets were sold to real estate developers. The former industrial platform also hosts the Coresi Shopping Resort, developed by French group Immochan. A residential compound may also be developed there in the following years.
