10 April 2017

The Italian Embassy wants to sell Nicolae Iorga Park on Calea Victoriei boulevard in downtown Bucharest, the starting price being around EUR 5.52 million.

The park covers slightly over 3,000 sqm, being sold via an auction. Those interested can submit their bids at the Administrative Office of the Italian Embassy in Bucharest until May 15, 2017, 12:00.

The Embassy also wants to sell a 1,133-sqm land plot on Luigi Cazavillan street in Bucharest. The price starts from around EUR 1.74 million.

Outside the capital, the Italian Embassy also auctions off properties in Targoviste, Galati, Braila, and Constanta. The starting prices are between EUR 45,841 and EUR 505,222. All properties belong to the Italian state.

Bucharest City Hall announced recently that it would establish a working group that will be in charge of identifying the legal solutions via which the municipality can get back the parks, green spaces or land plots hosting playgrounds, which have been returned to their owners in the past 16 years.
