Italian investors eye EUR 220 mln investment in Romanian hydro power after Bulgarian projects
Bulgarian firm PVB Power, owned by Italian shareholders, could invest some EUR 220 million in seven micro hydro power plants on the Somes river in Romania, according to Cluj County Council. The project, which should take three years to complete, could start in 2013.
PVB Power was issued the right to build seven micro hydropower plants in Romania last year. According to previous data, these plants could together produce some 260 Kwh a year.
In Bulgaria, the company built nine hydro power plants on the Iskar river, under an investment of EUR 115 million.
