Items and props used by famous Romanian actors on sale at Bucharest auction
Clothing and accessories that belonged to famous Romanian actors like Maia Morgenstern, Stela Popescu,Victor Rebengiuc and Horatiu Malaiele will go under the hammer at Artmark’s Cinema Memorabilia auction organized by on February 23 in Bucharest.
The auction that will take place on February 23, from 19:30 at the Athenee Palace Hilton will present to collectors personal items that belonged to some best known Romanian actors, photos representing them and spare props that appeared in movies.
A tuxedo that belonged to actor Victor Rebengiuc, worn in 1965 at Cannes at the premiere of "Forest of the Hanged" movie directed by Liviu Ciulei has a starting price of EUR 600. Director Geo Saizescu’s chair starts at EUR 250, a silver and gold bracelet, decorated with diamonds, rubies and emeralds (in picture), which belonged to actress Maia Morgenstern has a starting price of EUR 200 and a set of earrings and pendant that belonged to actress Tora Vasilescu which she used in the role of Collette in the Horea Popescu’s movie " The Hornet's Nest" in 1986 starting at EUR 150.
The pieces will be exhibited in Artmark's headquarters (5 CA Rosetti St.) from February 14 to February 22 and on auction day they will be moved at the Athenee Palace Hilton.
