‘Shamisen Master’ Keisho Ohno will be on stage for the first time in Bucharest on March 30, at Atelierul de Productie, 19:00. Before the main act, Feel the Rhythm will give an alternative percussion performance.

Keisho Ohno was born in Niigata, Japan, and started learning shamisen at the age of 5. By the age of 14, he gained the acceptance of the founder of the ‘Chikuzan-style’ of Tsugaru Shamisen, Takahashi Chikuzan, and became his main successor. Tsugaru Shamisen is a musical style played on the shamisen -  a three-stringed Japanese musical instrument.

The artist’s debut album ‘Shami Spirits’ was released in 2007, and was followed by ‘Samurai’ a year later. Read more about the artist here. Tickets for the event cost RON 30 until March 15, RON 40 until the day of the event, and RON 50 on the door. Buy them online here.
