Japanese Culture Days ready to kick off in Bucharest
The sixth edition of the Japanese Culture Days will take place in Bucharest between May 12 and May 23.
For 12 days, the Japanese culture fans can take part in a series of events such a conferences, seminars, and festivals dedicated to Japanese culture and lifestyle. The program also includes martial arts demonstrations and competitions, and games specific to Japan. Moreover, aspects of the economy, geopolitics, and Japanese communication will also be addressed at conferences with international participation.
A taiko (traditional Japanese drums) workshop will be organized at the RAU Fitness Hall within the Romania-American University, on May 12, starting 18:30.
The event will then continue on May 13-14, with the fourth edition of the Japan – Romania – cross points in a global context international conference. The opening of the event is scheduled for May 13, 10:00, at the Senate Hall of the Romanian-American University. On May 14, the conference will continue with three sections that will address culture, economics, and Japanese communication.
Master Chizuru Ashihara from Kyoto will also lead a spectacular demonstration and an ikebana workshop on May 13, 18:00, at the Senate Hall within the Romanian-American University.
The CSRJ-AH - Haru Urara Grand Festa anniversary gala will be organized in the Aula Magna of the Romanian-American University on May 15, 18:00. The program will include traditional Japanese music, an artistic moment carried out by the teachers and students from the Angela Hondru Center of Romanian-Japanese Studies (CSRJ- AH), and a kabuki performance.
Kendo classes and demonstrations will be organized in Bucharest and Brasov mountain resort between May 18 and May 24.
