Natural gas and power operator E.ON Romania has named Iulian Bortos, former editor-in-chief of Capital magazine, as new head of external communications, according to Paginademedia.ro. Bortos will leave the media sector, after 17 years in the field.

Iulian Bortos resigned from the position of editor of the weekly Capital in May this year, after occupying that position since September, 2005. Prior to working with Capital, he worked at the Romanian newswire Mediafax.

E.ON Romania, member of the E.ON Group AG from Germany, operates in the natural gas and power industry in the northern part of Romania. The German company controls E.ON Energie Romania, E.ON Gas Distribution and E.ON Moldova Distribution, along with E.ON Energie Regenerabila Romania.
