July starts with bad weather in Romania
July starts with rain, thunderstorms, and even hail in Romania. Meteorologists recently issued a bad weather alert, valid between June 30, 16:00, and July 1, 23:00.
In this period, rain, thunderstorms, and strong wind are expected in Maramures, Transylvania, and Oltenia regions, as well as in the mountain areas. The bad weather will get more intense during afternoons, and the rainfall will exceed 20 liters per sqm. Meteorologists expect the rainfall to even exceed 40 liters per sqm in the southern Carpathians.
According to the National Meteorology Administration, hail may also appear in some areas.
