Jump around! House of Pain & more will perform at Romania’s Electric Castle festival
American hip-hop group House of Pain, best known for the hit Jump Around, will perform at the 2017 edition of Electric Castle festival to take place at the Banffy Castle in Bontida, Cluj county, this summer.
Other well-known artists announced on Wednesday are deadmau5, Trentemoller, Duke Dumont, GusGus, Claptone, SOHN, Atari Teenage Riot, and Slaves.
They have joined the lineup that includes other famous music groups and artists such as Moderat, Alt-J, Nero, Noisia, and DJ Sneak. More artists are to be announced in the coming period.
On Thursday, February 16, the passes for the fifth edition of Electric Castle will cost only RON 369 (EUR 82) if purchased online. The offer is valid for Maestro and Mastercard cardholders. The spring sale will start the next day, on February 17. Tickets will cost RON 399 (EUR 88) and will be available for purchase on the festival’s website, or from partner shops.
Electric Castle is one of the largest music festivals in Romania. This year’s edition will take place between July 12 and July 16. The organizers expect more than 130,000 spectators this year.
In 2016, the festival brought more than 120,000 people to the Banffy Castle in Cluj county. More than 200 artists and bands from Romania and abroad performed on the festival’s eight stages.
