Kaspersky reports 14% global growth revenue increase
Antivirus giant Kaspersky Lab announced USD 612 million revenues in 2011, equating to a 14 percent increase in worldwide revenues last year. Growth was recorded in all regions, according to the company's financial results, published last week. Chairman and CEO Eugene Kaspersky (in picture) expressed satisfaction with the results, which, he says, came in the face of difficult market conditions. He also said the company was ready to face the challenges of 2012.
The Kaspersky statement reaffirmed the recently announced intention to keep the company privately owned, so no IPO on the cards for the moment. In 2012 the company is planning to concentrate on its core business – endpoint protection and security. “In 2012 Kaspersky Lab will launch a range of new [...] products in both the consumer and the corporate area which will highlight our user centric and Endpoint Protection Platform approach,” said Chief Product Officer Petr Merkulov.
