Kenyan runners win Bucharest City Marathon

Three Kenyan runners won the Bucharest City Marathon which took place in Bucharest on Sunday, October 17. Duncan Koech came first in the race, followed by James Cheruiyot (2.15:33) and by John Maluni Katio (2.18:42) on the third position. The women race was won by a runner from Belarus, Svietlana Konhan (2.35:13), followed by Jida Belaynesh  from Etiopia,( 2.39:49) and Oxana Kuzmicheba  from Russia (2.46:58).

The Bucharest City Marathon, this year at its third edition, was organized by the Bucharest Running Club. The prizes for the first, second and third place were of EUR 3,000, EUR 1,500 and EUR 1,000 respectively. 4,000 people attended this year's marathon in Bucharest.
