Kisellef boulevard becomes sports area during week-ends

Kiseleff boulevard in Bucharest will become a car free area during week-end and will be dedicated to sports activities starting this week-end, until August 8. The project, called 'Via Sport', will feature basket, soccer, badminton and ping-pong areas, the Bucharest municipality has announced. The boulevard will be shut down for car traffic between the Victoriei Square and the Ion Mincu crossroad.

Car traffic will be shut down every week-end from friday, 22,00 hours, until Sunday, 12,00 hours. The project is part of a wider program, “The Capital City grows Green” (Capitala creste verde), which aism at promoting a healthier lifestyle among Bucharest inhabitants.
