KPMG Romania appoints new partner
KPMG Romania has appointed Swiss René Schӧb as the new Partner of its local tax consultancy office starting October 1.
He will be in charge of developing the KPMG German desk, considering that the number of German-speaking investors in Romania has increased.
The consultancy group has also promoted Tracey Walker, specialized in fighting corruption and bribery, and Ionut Mastacaneanu, as directors.
Schӧb has an experience of over 17 years in the tax consultancy sector. In the last nine years, he was Managing Partner within other international companies of consultancy in Romania.
Between September 2014 and April 2016, he managed the operations of Mazars Romania. He is specialized in the integrated assistance of customers, with a focus on medium and large companies owned by private investors.
Tracey Walker will be the new KPMG director on the Forensic sector. She is from South-Africa and has an experience of over ten years in investigating frauds at international level in several countries, including Romania, Hungary, Germany, Slovenia, South Africa, and US. She has worked as a senior manager at the Anticorruption Direction in South Africa.
Ionut Mastacaneanu will be director on Tax Consultancy. He began his career in KPMG about twelve years ago.
