Large investment fund interested in Romanian health care operator

07 July 2015

An investment fund with over EUR 810 billion in assets is interested in buying a 25% stake in Romanian health care services group Polisano. The Sibiu-based company is valued at some EUR 400 million.

The two sides should conclude the deal in September, before the company’s planned listing on the stock market, said Remus Borza, Polisano’s president, cited by local Ziarul Financiar.

In June, Borza said that Polisano attracted an investment fund that would pay EUR 30 million for 25% of the company, but he didn’t specify the fund’s name, due to confidentiality.

“It is one of the top five investment funds in the world, with a portfolio of USD 970 billion," Borza said last week.
