Romania’s president Klaus Iohannis promulgated on Thursday, July 23, the law according to which people from vulnerable categories will receive a set of 30 protective masks per month for free.

The list of beneficiaries includes people from families receiving social welfare, pensioners with a pension of up to RON 1,000, and people with disabilities whose income comes exclusively from social benefits, News.ro reported.

The local public authorities will be in charge of making the lists of beneficiaries and sending them to public health directorates in every county. The Health Ministry will distribute the masks.

The Chamber of Deputies adopted the law on June 10.
