Romanian lawmakers are hearing the candidates proposed for the three positions of judge at the Constitutional Court that will be vacated on June 10.
For the position now held by Mona Pivniceru, whose term expires in June, the Liberal Party (PNL) nominated Iulia Scântei, chairman of the Senate Legal Commission, USR proposed Peter Ecksterin-Kovacs, former UDMR senator, while AUR nominated Radu Ghidău, former PNTCD deputy, Hotnews.ro reported.
For the position of Valer Dorneanu, whose term also expires on June 10, the Social Democratic Partry (PSD) proposed Bogdan Licu, Cristi Dănileț was proposed by USR, and Ioan Sabău was proposed by AUR.
Iulia Scântei from PNL and Bogdan Licu, supported by PSD, have the highest odds of filling the vacancies at CCR.
