Leasing market in Romania to gain 10% this year
The financial leasing market in Romania could increase by 10% this year, from EUR 1.32 billion in 2014, according to Adriana Ahciarliu, general secretary of the Leasing Companies Association – ALB Romania.
She estimates that the market will benefit from higher financing for EU funded agriculture projects and an increasing number of clients, due to incentives in the new Fiscal Code, reports local Agerpres.
The leasing financings for agriculture will increase this year after 12 companies have already signed a protocol with the Agriculture Ministry to finance equipment and projects for this sector, according to Ahciarliu.
The new Fiscal Code also offers some incentives for the leasing companies, as companies are exempted from paying taxes on the profits they reinvest in technological equipment.
“I think that this incentive will convince more clients to choose leasing as a financing source, especially for technological equipment for production activities,” the ALB representative said.
