Libra Bank, member of the American investment group New Century Holdings (NCH), changed its name in Internet Libra Bank. This way, the bank shows its strategic orientation towards providing online financial services, according to the lender.

The bank will keep focus on liberal professions and SMEs, but will also exploit the opportunities offered by the online environment. “As consequence of decisions taken recently by the bank's shareholders and management, this component marks a new stage of development for the bank”, according to the bank.

Libra Internet Bank reported a cumulated net profit of EUR 2.18 million (RON 9.15 million) in the first half of this year.
