Liebrecht&wooD builds new retail center in Bucharest
Belgian real estate investor and developer Liebrecht&wooD is planing to build a retail park in the South East of Bucharest, which will include an outlet center. The project will be developed on a 60-hectare plot the company bought last year, according to Mediafax newswire. The developer will start to lease spaces in this project, a total of 90,000 sqm, during this summer. The outlet center within the planned project will be operated by Fashion House, which operates Liebrecht&wooD's other outlet center in Bucharest, Fashion House in Militari area (in picture). It will also include big boxes – furniture stores, do-it-yourself store and hypermarket. The developer will start construction works when it will lease 20 to 40 percent of the retail space in the outlet and one or two of the big boxes spaces, according to Johan Rogiers, one of the company's founders, who is also the managing director for the company in Romania. Liebrecht&wooD has also developed the Victoria Park offices in Bucharest, which it sold for EUR 80 million to investment fund Immoeast.
