A photo exhibition with images from Kenya will be on display at the Hobby Cafe in Bucharest (34 Negustorilor St.) until November 19. The exhibition features 35 photographs taken by Romania photographer Florin Ghioca, who has been invited by the National Geographic Channel on a trip to Kenya.
'Hand Held', a documentary about Romania's orphans from the 90s will be screened in Bucharest on December 4, at the Romanian National Art Museum . The documentary, directed by Don Hahn presents the story of photojournalist Michael Carroll, who came to Romania in 1990 and discovered the HIV-infected orphans in Romania. Hahn and Caroll will attend the screening in Bucharest.
The third Thursday of November is always the time when French people celebrate the Beaujolais Nouveau and drink the newly produced red wine of the year. This yearly celebration is best tasted in its home country, France, but the French community in Bucharest usually also organizes events to celebrate the Beaujolais Nouveau. This year, such an event will take place at the Ici et La restaurant (43 Mendeleev St.)
The 20th edition of the DaKINO International Film Festival, the very first film festival in Romania, will be running from November 22 to 27 in three cinema halls in Bucharest - Patria, Elvira Popescu and the New Cinema of the Romanian Director, within the Museum of the Romanian Peasant , as well as in other alternative venues.

Entry will be free of charge and most of the movies will be subtitled in Romanian- see below complete schedule to see which one will have English subtitles.
A concert featuring music from the 17th century will take place at the Anglican Church in Bucharest (Alexandru Xenopol 2A)on November 18, from 19,00 hours. Soprano Judit Andrejszki from Budapest will perform along with Caius Hera, who studied classical guitar at the Timisoara Music Faculty.
